Galveston-based American National Insurance Company is one of eight companies suing a pair of global banks, claiming that Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Banc helped Enron conceal its financial condition.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit, filed Tuesday at the Galveston County Courthouse, claim that they lost money because they bought and held Enron stock while the company collapsed, partially due to the defendants’ recommendations.
