“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence [sic], promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity†– Declaration of Independence
We, the undersigned citizens and/or residents of the USA, demand a full recount of 2004 United States of America election results. We have enough reason and evidence to believe that the counts provided on election night and the following day were not accurate counts, as initially evidenced in Ohio’s Franklin County. For the integrity of our nation and the legacy we leave to our future citizens, we demand a full investigation and recount of all counties and precincts that voted by any means other than on paper and whose votes were counted by any other means than by hand.
We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and await a speedy investigation and restoration in the trust of our voting system.

Actually, I think the idea that only paper ballots counted by hand are the way to vote is not a bad idea. It might be cumbersome and take a long time to count, but hey, we've got three months between voting day and inauguration day. Surely it could get done. What's the all-fired hurry to know on the same day of the election who won? Voting machines might be fine if they gave a paper receipt that was also counted.
