Oct. 6, 2004 - The nation's top weapons inspector has pulled the rug out from under the Bush administration's main reason for going to war in Iraq.
Charles Duelfer has told a Senate committee he found no evidence that Iraq had created any weapons of mass destruction after 1991.
Duelfer's report says Iraq didn't have any chemical or biological stockpiles when the U-S invaded and that Iraq's weapons capability was deteriorating by that point, not advancing.
...Duelfer backed up Bush's argument that Saddam Hussein was a threat. The report says it remained clear that the Iraqi leader hadn't lost his drive to get weapons of mass destruction.
